Johnny is a down to earth guy who just has the balls to pick what ever roles he wants to play and has the courage to walk away from the alluring amount of money that contracts bring, he just doesn't want to be a 'product'. He is a great person all in all.

Without having him as a personal friend, it would be hard to say what he is really like;however, I believe you can learn much about Depp from the way he chooses to live, from his actions, and from the choices he makes. A true measure of most people is shown in their actions, wouldn't you agree?
People admire Depp because he chooses unconventional roles. That takes guts. And he executes those roles in such an understated yet skilled manner.
You know, no one really knows that much about who Johnny Depp really IS... I mean, anyne can go and ask him questions or post him on the internet saying that they know him... But who really DOES? Just because you know his first and last name and the movies he has played in doesn't mean that you really know him. I like to think of Johnny as a mystery to be solved... He's nice and very good looking, but what is he really LIKE? What are your views on this?
Yes, I think that's why people admire him, because he doesn't go with the flow but is a maverick. He pushes the boundaries and is true to himself.
Anyone can look at him and instantly say they like him, but to respect him as an actor is something people don't often do anymore simply because they only care about looks. What I like about Johnny is that he chooses roles based on what effect they have on him as a person. Acting is an art form, and he's the only actor in a long time that can remind (some) people of that.

Jonny Depp is my favorite actor. And did you know that most of the hilarious stff he says on pirates of the carribean isn't even on the script, but they let it slide because hes such a good actor. Trust me I know every thing about Johnny depp. Lie how he has 13 tattoos.
