How to Install the Reddit Badge on Your Blog

A great feature of Reddit is the Reddit badges offered. Reddit buttons can be used on blogs and webpages, allowing others to share your work with the world. At a simple click on a Reddit button, readers can submit your content to Reddit.
How to Install the Reddit Badge
Within minutes, you can install the Reddit badge on your pages. Follow these simple instructions to get started.
- Go to the Reddit site and register and/or log-in
- Scroll to the bottom of the page
- You'll see: "Reddit Tools"
- Select the second heading "buttons"
A page will open. You now have a variety of Reddit badges to choose from:
Reddit Buttons
- Commonly used buttons
- Buttons with points
- Interactive buttons
- Large Reddit Buttons
Under each Reddit Button section, you'll see a snippet of HTML code. You can copy/paste this code either into your sidebar or within your pages, between the body tags in your blog's template.
One of the easiest methods is to simply copy and install the Reddit badge code on your blog's sidebar. If you are using Blogger:
- Go to Blogger "Layout"
- Click on "Add a Gadget"
- Select the second option: HTML/JavaScript
- When the page opens, paste the Reddit button code into the box
- Press "Save"
- Go to "View Blog" to make sure that your Reddit Badge is installed.
Neat Reddit Options
Reddit offers some neat options:
- Reddit bookmarkletsthat can be dragged to your browser's bar
- The option to create your own Reddit
You can search Reddit for:
- What's hot
- What's new
- What's controversial
- What's top scoring
Reddit allows users to submit links to news, articles, blog posts, videos, pictures--anything you find interesting and want to share with others.
