Ginger Sparkle Cookies

Ginger cookies are oh-so-good--especially cookies with a twist. Ginger sparkle cookies are dusted with sugar, which makes them oh-so-delicious.

You'll make this recipe for soft ginger cookies again and again. These are satisfying and the sugar makes them truly special.

Ginger Sparkle Cookies

3/4 cup margarine or butter
1 cup brown sugar

Cream together and then add:

1/4 cup fancy molasses
1 egg

Stir ingredients together and then add:

2 scant tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. ginger
1/4-1/2 tsp. cloves
2 cups of flour

Method

1. Mix ingredients until well blended.

2. Roll ginger cookies into balls

3. Rolls cookie balls in white sugar.

4. Place on cookie sheet and bake in a 325 degree oven 10-15 minutes.

Allow cookies to cool and store in a tin or container.

The next time you have a hankering for cookies, make a batch of ginger sparkles.
