Where to Find Crochet Hook Sets

Crochet hook sets . . . where to find them?

If you've been crocheting for any length of time, you probably have an assortment of odd numbered crochet hooks.

These can easily be misplaced if you have no case to store them in.

Additionally, if you have oddly numbered hooks, each time you go to work a pattern, you may be hard-pressed to find the right sized crochet hook.

I change my hook sizes to get the desired gauge and this often requires a different sized hook from what the pattern calls for. This holds true if you want your work to look a certain way with a desired thickness or thinness.

Having a graduated set of hooks is essential to the serious crocheter--and, even better, is having a convenient case to store them in. But where can you actually find crochet hooks sets?

Graduated Crochet Hooks in Case

I recently set out to see if I could find a graduted set of crochets hooks that came in a convenient storage case.

If you are like me, you may have wondered if these were available.

Fortunately, I discovered a number of places that sell just such an item. Read on for pointers on where to get crochet hooks in cases.

Double ended crochet hook sets are convenient--especially if you work crochet projects that call for two hook sizes. A double ended crochet hook offers one size of hook on one end and a different-sized hook on the other.

Ideas for Storing Your Crochet Hooks

If you are looking for crochet hook sets you may be able to find these with a storage case, as pictured above, or you might find the hook sizes you need in a graduated set but these do not come with a storage case. What then?

Most crafters have a place where they store their craft materials but crochet hooks can easily go missing--especially the smaller hooks. A way around this is to use a lined basket to store your hooks in. This prevents hooks going missing.

A large oval basket is ideal for storing hooks, patterns, scissors & yarn. Keeping everything in one place saves time when you start a new project.

Additionally, you can carry all your crochet supplies from room to room, depending on where you will be working.

This basket comes with a lining, which means that loose crochet hooks will not fall through the woven bottom.

Afgahn Crochet Hook Sets

Tunisian crochet hook sets can be called on for  afghan making. Tunisian crochet hooks are longer. Tunisian or afghan hooks are 9-20" in length and usually have knobs on one end to prevent yarn/stitches from slipping off.

Crochet hooks are the tools of the trade for those who love to crochet. My next pick is to treat myself to one of these crochet sets with a carrying case and a large basket for storing my supplies.
