Best Barbeque Sauce

By

This great-tasting homemade barbeque sauce can be used to boost the flavor of meats

This is the best barbeque sauce recipe I have come across. It's simple and delicious. I've used it for years as a stand-by, when I'm out of bottled sauce.

If you've ever wondered how to make barbeque sauce, use this recipe for perfect results every time.

Make this homemade barbeque sauce and brush it on meat to improve flavor. Simply brush over meat and pop into the oven.

I like to use this over left-over roast beef. It keeps the meat tender and gives it such a good flavor.

Recipe For Barbeque Sauce

Brown:

1/2 cup chopped onion in

1 tbsp. butter

Add in:

1 cup ketchup

1 cup water

1/4 vinegar

1/4 brown sugar

1 tbsp. Worchestershire sauce

1 tsp. salt

1/4 tsp. pepper

(optional: dash of hot sauce)

Bring to a gentle boil and stir, cooking until slightly thickened.

Barbeque Sauce Serving Suggestions

  • Chicken or Turkey, Steak or Spareribs--Brush bbq sauce over cooked chicken, turkey, steak or spareribs and roast in oven or cook the meat on a bar-be-que for the last 1/2-1 hour of cooking time.
  • Roast Beef or Meatballs--This easy bbq sauce can be used when you want to dress up leftovers, such as roast beef slices, leftover pork roast, meatloaf or meatballs. Simply brush on top of leftover meat and place uncovered in the oven to heat.
  • Mushroom and Onions--If you love mushrooms and onions, chop these and lay out in a foil-covered pan. Brush with sauce and broil in oven until browned. Or wrap in foil and place on the bar-be-que. Why purchase sauce when you can make a homemade barbeque sauce that is just as good.

Making barbeque sauce takes only minutes and you will be rewarded with that hard-to-beat mouthwatering bbq flavor that makes meat dishes so special.

You can also use this barbeque sauce recipe for Barbequed Tofu Strips. These taste just like chicken with a similar texture and can be served to those who prefer meatless meals.

I like the sauce recipe, but if you're interested, I will email you mine (although I do sell it, out of competitive juices, I'll do it for free!)
